When the times tables come down the street,

I give them a cheerful greet.

Two times tables are first to go,

Warm, cold, rain, or snow.

1 two comes flying in having the flu,

1 times 2 is 2.

Two twos come flying in the door,

2 times 2 is 4.

Three twos are flying and waiting for themselves to be fixed,

3 times 2 is 6.

Four twos are shouting ‘The show is great!’

4 times 2 is 8.

Five twos are using a giant fountain pen,

5 times 2 is 10.

Six twos are shouting ‘Dig and delve!’

6 times 2 is 12.

Seven twos are maids-a courting

7 times 2 is 14.

Eight twos are in their teens,

8 times 2 is 16.

Nine twos are eating eel spleens,

9 times 2 is 18.

Ten twos are eating apples, there’s plenty!

10 times 2 is 20.

Eleven twos have their feet in sticky goo,

11 times 2 is 22.

Twelve twos help to shut the door,

12 times 2 is 24.

When the times tables come down the street,

Make sure you give them a proper greet.
